After a 12 months caught in entrance of our gadgets’ screens for something from enterprise conferences to Zoom events, can the digital medium truly present escapism? Ardusse’s designer Gaetano Colucci thinks so.

“As I entered fashion, I wanted the industry to take me seriously and so I drew inspiration from elevated subjects. This was the right time for me to express my personal idea of escapism,” he stated.

Colucci’s quest for his private and style Arcadia, a spot stuffed with childhood naivety and innocence, had him — an avid gamer — occupied with video video games’ characters. Their outfits served as a refined inspiration for his charming lineup, stuffed with pastel-hued wardrobe staples with romantic and naïf particulars.

A fragile, boxy pink shirt paired with shimmering blush-colored satin shorts, their texture evoking digital glitch results, featured a harness-style facet panel, whereas a few fits crafted from crisp cotton had a single, asymmetrical lapel paying homage to cartridge holders like these sported by Final Fantasy VII’s characters.

Knitwear had an intimate, tactile really feel, together with two-toned cardigans with buttons operating throughout the again and sleeves and vests with a large leaf on the entrance and crochet collars, whereas outerwear was sturdy and protecting with tapering particulars.

Colucci threw some sensible and commercially savvy sweatshirts and T-shirts into the combination, after not too long ago signing with Milan-based 247 showroom. They had been splashed with the bubblegum pink tag line “gentle dudes,” an expression that Colucci used to confer with his group: Gen Z Avid players with romantic hearts.

If solely “Resident Evil” characters wore Ardusse, too.
